Elvis Tribute Museum Comes to Bearcreek Farms - Now Open!

It's not everyday that you find an "Elvis" Museum anywhere let alone Northeastern Indiana.

But that has changed! The Elvis Extravaganza Tribute Museum opened it's doors at Bearcreek Farms in Bryant on June 7th, 2008.

The museum is an ecclectic mix of items from clothing and jewelry to furniture, musical instruments and more. Clothing includes many of the exotic jumpsuit designs the fans have grown to know by name, "The 1968 leather outfit", the creme-colored 1968 "If I Can Dream" suit, The Gold Lame Jacket, The Checkerboard jumpsuit, complete with belt and cape and more.

Museum us Open April 24, 2010 thru October 2010

The cornerstone of the museum is the now, world famous Jungle Room furniture- purchased originally 34 years ago.  Elvis Presley purchased his Jungle Room furniture specifically because his father hated it!  It draws mixed reviews from fans - but everyone knows what it is!

Call for days and times.  Tickets and lodging are available at The Homestead at Bearcreek Farms. Admission to the museum is just $5.00 - or FREE with any meal purchase. More information at 260-997-6822 or visit www.bearcreekfarms.com

See what guests have to say about Bearcreek Farms

My husband and I were looking for something different for an anniversary getaway. I found Bearcreek Farms (on Bear Creek in Bryant, Indiana) on the internet.

Because it was off-season, early October, we got a very good deal - 2 nights lodging for two with 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners apiece, plus musical theater tickets, all for $199.

It took awhile to get there, about 4 1/2 hours from Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is definitely a farm, sort of in the middle of nowhere. We saw so many Amish buggies we got used to them after awhile, also Amish people on bikes, and whole families walking by the road (the little kids were adorable in their Amish outfits!)

With the package, we stayed in a cottage that had two double beds, bath, a good TV but no cable, and no phone. It was simple but very clean.

The grounds were pretty with a lake and ponds and nice landscaping. We enjoyed walking around the lake.

There is a cute "village" with old-fashioned shops. We did attend an outdoor movie showing there (free) that was a lot of fun.

The main building is quite large with a nice buffet restaurant. The food was country-style and VERY good, lots of selection. We got to see a cooking demo by the chef, also free.

There is an indoor water park on the grounds. There were a lot of families having fun.

There's is also an outdoor pool.

We also liked the guest house, where you can watch big-screen TV, get free coffee, or play board games. That's where they keep the ice, vending machines, and "pay" phone (credit or phone card only, no coins).

Our favorite part by far was the musical theater. The show was amazing. Very entertaining and good for the whole family.

Nearby are the Swiss towns of Geneva and Berne, also Amishville USA, with great food and cheap buggy rides.

Overall, a very nice stay at Bearcreek Farms. I would definitely recommend it for a quiet getaway or family vacation.
